Street Coolhunting: Intricate Nail Art in Black
I have never been a huge fan of way-too-elaborated manicures, to be sincere. There was a time, during my days at high school, in which I could spend the spare time between one class and the next one drawing tropical fishes in my uncomplaining -always volunteering- classmate but that was a long -believe me, very long- time ago.
It is somehow impossible, though, to resist impassively the wave of images about nail art proliferating these days everywhere and I also have to admit that, since we discovered the mirror-effect nail-polish in Paris -not to mention the caviar manicure- I kind of curiously look at other people’s hands hoping to find the next big thing, manicure talking. For those of you who have steady hand and plenty of patience, here you have this idea, seen in the hands of one of the attendants to the Yoga event in Hollywood I was talking about the other day.

Nunca he sido la mayor fan de las manicuras ultra elaboradas, para ser sincera. Hubo un momento, en los tiempos de instituto, en que podía matar las horas muertas entre clase y clase dibujando peces tropicales en las uñas de mi sufrida -aunque voluntaria- compañera de pupitre, pero eso fue hace mucho -creedme, mucho- tiempo.
Es un poco imposible, sin embargo, resistir impasible la embestida de imágenes sobre nail art que parecen proliferar hoy en día en todas partes y he de admitir que, desde las uñas con efecto espejo que encontramos en París -por no mencionar la manicura de caviar-, ahora miro con curiosidad las manos ajenas, a la espera de encontrar la siguiente revolución en cuanto a manicura se refiere. Para las que tengáis pulso y paciencia, aquí os dejo esta idea, vista en las manos de una de las asistentes al evento de Yoga en Hollywood del que os hablaba el otro día.
