‘From This to These’ by Atelier Yea-Yea – DMY Jury’s Selection
Atelier Yea-Yea is the studio created by artist Niko Leung, born in Hong Kong but Holland-based at the moment, while she finishes her studies en ceramics. Her proyect ‘From This to These -Progressive Copying’ begins when she encounters on a book a picture of an old Buddhist drum and decides to explore all its possibilities, regarding shape, decoration and context.
Through her interpretations, the studio has given shape to a very peculiar picnic set that you can see these days at Festival DMY in Berlin.

Atelier Yea-Yea es el estudio de la artista Niko Leung, nacida en Hong Kong y residente en Holanda, en la actualidad, mientras perfecciona sus conocimientos en cerámica. Su proyecto ‘From This to These -Progressive Copying’ surge del encuentro fortuito de una imagen de un tambor budista en un libro y de la intención de explorar las características del tambor, en cuanto a forma, motivos decorativos y contexto.
A través de sus reinterpretaciones, el estudio dio lugar a un set de picnic de lo más peculiar que puedes ver estos días en el Festival DMY de Berlín.
