San Miguel Primavera Sound 2012: Rufus Wainwright
Out of the Game is the latest release by Rufus Wainwright, a revered singer-songwriter and a reference point now when talking about pop of extreme perfection. I have never underestimated the thorough perfection that drives him so often to musical experimentation, or his repeated attempts at creating live opera performances.
An extremely sensitive and passionate man, giving his voice to sponsor many solidarity campaigns, he would never let his audiences go home without having been perfumed by his deep lyrics, full of sadness with a touch of hope.
The song that I am leaving with you today is an eponymous recommendation from his album, and stars in the video a muse of cinema in my personal opinion, Helena Bonham Carter and, just in case she can hear me: I want you to know that your starring role in a video by Rufus is the best thing ever!

Out of the Game es el último disco de Rufus Wainwright, un cantautor referente a la hora de hablar de un pop extremadamente perfecto. Nunca me ha extrañado que tanta perfección lo lleve a lanzarse tan a menudo a sus experimentos musicales, ni a sus repetidas intenciones de crear ópera en vivo.
Hombre extremadamente sensible y pasional, entregado a patrocinar con su voz muchísimas campañas solidarias, nunca dejaría a un público irse a casa sin haberse perfumado con sus profundas letras llenas de tristeza con un toque de esperanza.
La canción que os dejo como recomendación será la homónima de su disco, y protagonizada por una musa del cine en criterio personal, Helena Bonham Carter, y por si ella me escucha: ¡Que sepas que protagonizar un vídeo de Rufus es lo más!
