+ Et Dieu créa… an unexpected long weekend +

I have just found out, a few hours ago, that this is going to be a long weekend in here. Five minutes after my discovery I started the desperate search of a way to scape from the city these days: somewhere by the sea is the only essential requirement needed. Not an easy task, I have to admit, time running is not doing me a favor.

I couldn’t help picturing myself running barefoot all around Saint-Tropez, though. I don’t really know why, but the image of Brigitte Bardot in this lovely small village in French Riviera, which she made worldwide known thanks to her film And God created woman, was the first thing that came to my mind this morning so, if you excuse me, just in case good luck is going to be on my side today -and since I already have my own Alain Delon (!)- I’m going to start a.s.a.p. the search of the perfect straw bag, you know. Just in case.

Acabo de descubrir hace tan solo unas horas que éste va a ser aquí un fin de semana largo. Cinco minutos después de mi descubrimiento comencé la desesperada búsqueda del modo escapar de la ciudad unos días: algún sitio cerca del mar es el único requisito esencial e indispensable. Y no es tarea fácil, debo admitir, porque el tiempo no deja de correr, con lo que no ayuda demasiado.

De todas maneras, no he podido evitar, instantáneamente, imaginarme corriendo descalza por Saint-Tropez. Ni siquiera sé porqué en realidad, pero la imagen de Brigitte Bardot en este precioso pueblecito de la Riviera francesa, al que ella misma hizo mundialmente conocido gracias a su película Y Dios creó a la mujer, ha sido lo primero que me ha venido a la cabeza esta mañana así que, si me disculpáis, solo por si se diera el caso de que la buena suerte estuviera hoy de mi lado -y dado que ya tengo mi propio Alain Delon (!)- voy a iniciar de inmediato la búsqueda del canasto de paja perfecto. Solo por si acaso.
