+ Down the Omo Valley +
I can’t help being as amazed as the first time whenever I come across Hans Silvester’s work; the energy in his images, the combinations of textures, the vibrant colours and the addition of the exotic flowers always manage to leave me speechless. The German photographer and environmental activist has travelled all around the world with his camera but he is undoubtedly specially well-know because of the way he portrayed the native paintings of Suma tribe, located in the valley of Omo river, in Ethiopia.
Malborough gallery in Madrid has recently opened Zoom, an exhibition that compiles the work of thirteen different photographers and among which selection can be found some images by Silvester. Although, if what you are really thinking is how much you would like to take them home with you so you can look at them again and again, maybe you would be interested in getting Natural Fashion: Tribal Decoration from Africa or Ethiopia: Peoples of the Omo Valley, for instance.

Wow! I’m really astounded by these photos! Very beautiful! I’ve never heard of him before! Shame on me. Thank you for sharing this! And I’m also looking for white shirts too…some quality ones are hard to come by and they can be expensive. Right now, I’m looking at Banana Republic and Anne Taylor to see if they have some! xoxoxoo
