Sinceramente, nunca he creído que el asunto de versionar canciones ad infinitum pueda considerarse una gran aportación personal por parte de nadie al panorama musical; principalmente porque muchas veces se versionan temas que ya estaban perfectamente bien como estaban.
Sin embargo, no me atrevería a afirmar que éste haya sido el caso de esta reinterpretación de Antony and The Johnsons del tema debut de Beyoncé, Crazy in Love, que me pareció soberbia, totalmente sorprendente e intimistamente estremecedora.

Sincerely, I’ve never believed that the idea of making cover versions of different songs, ad infinitum, can be considered a really personal contribution to the music scene; mainly because most of the songs covered were already perfectly well done in the beginning.
However, I would not dare to say this was the case of this Antony and The Johnsons‘ version of Beyonce’s debut single Crazy in Love, which I found superb, amazingly surprising, and intimately touching.

Anthony ha hecho un cover genial, ha hecho una versión totalmente nueva y fresca. Me llego al corazón con la pasión con la que lo canta

Anthony is genius, that’s true! I love all of his songs, but maybe I love “Blind” the most!
