Mañana 27 de Mayo Ianire Soraluze presentará Intimidad Revelada, su nueva colección para Primavera/Verano 2010, dentro del calendario de desfiles de la Casa de Criadores de São Paulo. Nada como robarle un poco de su preciado tiempo, con la histeria de los días previos al desfile, para que nos cuente algunas cositas…
+ ¿Qué pasa por tu cabeza a 48h de un desfile?
¡Uuf!… De todo. A 48h principalmente cosas prácticas de la colección: faltan botones, no me puedo olvidar de ir a por más accesorios, necesito rematar unas prendas… A 24h la cosa ya cambia; ahí la coleccion ya está (o debería estar) lista y entonces sólo hay espacio para los nervios. ¿Gustará? ¿Funcionará? ¿Qué dirán las críticas?
+ Invitada esta temporada, además, a desfilar en el Mercado Mundo Mix Portugal en Lisboa como representación de la moda de São Paulo, ¿esto supone una doble presión?
Pues sí, una doble presión con todo lo que supone mostrar mi trabajo aquí y allí fuera. Aquí, más o menos, ya me conocen, ya conocen mi trabajo pero no se cómo será la receptividad allí; aunque, al mismo tiempo, estoy muy contenta de haber sido seleccionada entre tantos y buenísimos diseñadores. Más que presión y responsabilidad, lo veo como una gran oportunidad de crecer como marca y de empezar a establecerme comercialmente fuera de Brasil también.
+ Adelántanos algo… ¿De qué va y qué vamos a encontrar en esta nueva colección?
Como siempre, mi punto de partida va diluyéndose a lo largo del proceso, pero la idea surge de la fragilidad o vulnerabilidad que esconden cosas más fuertes en apariencia. Tomando imágenes de la naturaleza como principal referencia, he encontrado en los efectos desgastados de las paredes o en los árboles ideas para volúmenes, estampados y detalles.
+ ¿Qué se mantiene de la Ianire de siempre?
La feminidad, aunque sigo explorando diferentes formas de verla, mi mujer femenina y delicada sigue ahí aunque esta vez creo que se ha vuelto un poquito más sexy de lo habitual en ella…
+ ¿Y qué hay de nuevo?
He intentado trabajar más con los volúmenes y crear así prendas que, por sí solas, contengan más información.

Tomorrow 27th May, Ianire Soraluze will be showing Revealed Intimacy, her new collection for next Spring/Summer 2010, within the framework of São Paulo’s Casa de Criadores shows. Nothing better than stealing a bit of her precious time, with the pre-show days hysteria, to hear something about her new collection…
+ What is going on in your head, 48h before the show?
Uuf! Lots of things. 48h before practical things related to the collection, mainly: there are some buttons missing, I can’t forget getting some more accesories, I also need to have some stuff finished yet… 24h before, everything changes: the collection is finished (or at least, it should be) and then, there is only space for nerves. Will people like it? Will everything work? What will the critics say?
+ You have been also invited to show your work in Mercado Mundo Mix Portugal in Lisboa as a representation of São Paulo’s fashion, does this mean a double pressure?
Actually yes, a double pressure with everything that involves showing my work here and there. Here, more or less, they already know me and they know my work, but I don’t know how the feedback will be in there; though, at the same time, I am really happy that they selected me among such amazing designers. More than pressure or responsability, I really see it as a great opportunity to grow, a bit more, as a brand and to start distributing also outside Brazil.
+ Advance us something… What is it about and what will we see in this new collection?
As always, my starting point ends up diluting along the process, but the main idea comes out of that fragility and vulnerability that is hidden in those things that, aparently, are quite stronger. Taking images from nature as the main references, I have found in the walls wasted effects, or in the trees, ideas for shapes, printings and details.
+ What can we find in it from the ‘classical’ Ianire style?
The feminity, though I keep on exploring new ways of seeing it, my femenine and delicate woman is still there but I think this time she’s turn out to be a bit sexier than usual…
+ And, what’s new?
I have tried to work more with the shapes and then build garments that give information by themselves.
